SPEAKERS

I’m Raspreet, and I’m a dedicated member of my 6th form council in Barking Abbey School where I finished my A Levels, studying English Literature, Art and Design and ReligiousStudies.

As a young girl growing up, I enjoyed helping my mother and older sister with charity fundraising. Whether it was bake sales, sponsored walks or local school fairs. I was always running around and ensured a smooth run. Inspired by charitable deeds and the fun that comes with organizing such events, I pushed myself and gained the courage to strive for a position which encourages fundraising and raising awareness of such issues that can help the local people.

I consistently demonstrate the skills required of a worker: punctual, hardworking and dedicated. I collaborate closely with local charities in my spare time outside of school striving to make a tangible impact in the lives of those who need it the most. I am an active and passionate member of my local community striving to make changes and improvements in Barking and Dagenham. I hope to leave an imprint on my local community, making positive change and contributing to meaningful projects.

This year, I am working closely with Richard House children hospice who work with children with life shortening illnesses under the age of 17. Every donation we hope to provide the hospice this year will help the children to learn and play in a safe space where hey may not have the opportunities of an average child at home.
