As a new Kiwanis year begins, we are delighted to welcome the Kiwanis UK Board for 2026–2027, under the leadership of Coordinator Yvonne Wright-Sisulu.
A new Board brings new energy, new ideas and a renewed opportunity to build on the work already taking place across Kiwanis UK. But this is not about starting again. It is about taking the foundations we have built over the past two years and using them to create even greater connection, participation and impact.
We want to see Kiwanis grow by reaching new people, strengthening our clubs and creating opportunities for more people to discover what it means to be part of the Kiwanis family.
We want our members to feel engaged — connected to their clubs, their communities and to one another. Because Kiwanis is at its best when people feel that they have a place, a voice and a meaningful contribution to make.
And ultimately, we want our work to have impact. Every project, every partnership, every hour volunteered and every act of service should contribute to making a difference in the lives of children and communities.
But the success of Kiwanis UK will never rest with the Board alone. It belongs to every member who gives their time, supports a project, welcomes someone new, shares an idea or simply continues to serve their community.
So, as we welcome our new Board, we also look ahead with optimism to what we can achieve together.
A new year. A shared purpose. A bigger opportunity to make a difference.
While service is at the heart of Kiwanis, the social aspect of being a member is equally important. This blog post will explore the fun and fellowship opportunities available to Kiwanis United Kingdom members.
Social Events:
Annual Conventions: Kiwanis UK hosts a annual convention where members can network, share ideas, and celebrate their achievements.
Club Socials: Many clubs organize regular social events, such as dinners, outings, and game nights, to foster camaraderie among members.
Interclub Visits: Visiting other Kiwanis clubs is a great way to meet new people, exchange ideas, and build lasting friendships.
Benefits of Fellowship:
Stronger Bonds: Social events help members build stronger relationships, creating a supportive and cohesive community.
Increased Engagement: Members who enjoy the social aspect of Kiwanis are more likely to stay engaged and active in their clubs.
Enhanced Well-Being: Participating in fun and social activities can improve members’ overall well-being and satisfaction.
Conclusion: The social side of Kiwanis is an essential part of the member experience. By participating in social events and fostering fellowship, members can enjoy a more fulfilling and enjoyable Kiwanis journey.
Service & Fellowship. Bring members and non-members together to construct Kiwanis Dolls for donation to hospitals and organisations supporting children.
International Engagement. 10–13 June 2027. Encourage UK representation and ensure ideas, resources and learning are shared with clubs following the event.
